Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and operate security state management systems that track posture, apply threshold logic, and drive escalation decisions.
- Build automated response and remediation workflows for incidents, notifications, deployment safeguards, and escalations.
- Own and scale cloud-based governance infrastructure with high reliability, scalability, observability, and efficient security-signal processing.
- Develop escalation, prioritization, alerting, correlation, de-duplication, and smart-routing mechanisms.
- Integrate security telemetry and risk signals with data engineering and data science systems, including predictive risk models.
- Ensure 24/7 reliability through monitoring, failover, self-healing, rapid mitigation, controlled overrides, and recovery capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building, deploying, and operating production services.
- Experience with distributed systems, reliability, scalability, performance, operational excellence, and production service ownership is preferred.
- Proficiency in a systems or backend language such as Python, Go, C#, or TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with automation, platform or reliability engineering, event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, or state-machine systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure services, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, and secure system design is preferred.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in architecture decisions, stakeholder alignment, and complex end-to-end delivery is preferred.
- Ability to pass Microsoft and Microsoft Cloud background checks and verify U.S. citizenship is required.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
