Base Salary
$65k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead analytics and decisioning processes across multiple functions or business units while mentoring junior team members.
- Define, develop, maintain, and enhance APIs and decision services supporting enterprise business capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 8, Java 11, and Java 17.
- Develop and manage business rules and decision services using enterprise rules engines and BRMS platforms.
- Build Groovy scripts and Python-based solutions for integrations, workflow automation, business-rule execution, analytics, and operations.
- Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and modern software engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Define API contracts and service interfaces with business and technology teams using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
- Implement integrations between internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, messaging platforms, event-driven frameworks, and data services.
- Develop Python utilities, automation frameworks, and ETL components for data movement, transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Use Groovy scripting within BPM, workflow orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise applications.
- Provide technical guidance, support colleagues, and lead complex problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Typically 5+ years of industry-relevant experience are required; comparable education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, including Java 8, Java 11, and Java 17, modern language features, performance optimization, and migration strategies.
- Experience developing and maintaining Groovy scripts and Python applications for automation, integrations, data processing, scripting, business rules, ETL, and analytics.
- Experience with BRMS and rules engines such as Drools, Red Hat Decision Manager, IBM ODM, or Blaze Advisor.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, domain-driven design, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud-native applications, system integrations, APIs, messaging, event streaming, and middleware platforms.
- Experience with BPMN modeling tools such as jBPM or Camunda.
- Experience with JSON Schema, XSD, XML, RESTful and SOAP web services, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience writing and executing API test cases using SOAPUI, Postman, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience building and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Experience with API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS, and enterprise authentication frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, code reviews, and DevOps best practices.
- Ability to align business strategy with software solutions, provide technical guidance, and solve complex problems.
