Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of software solutions for lending and credit decisioning.
- Develop, maintain, validate, and test APIs used by credit decisioning services.
- Develop rules for decision services and work with lead developers on technical design documentation.
- Review coding, testing, and documentation while providing technical guidance to colleagues.
- Design and support integrations using APIs, FTP, messaging, RESTful web services, and SOAP web services.
- Collaborate with business, credit, data, finance, risk, and model-development partners on reporting, predictive models, lending strategies, and risk management.
- Analyze large datasets and implement strategies that improve lending decisions, manage risk, increase revenue, and reduce losses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered instead.
- Typically 3 or more years of relevant or direct industry experience.
- Experience with Java and Python programming.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, event-driven systems, Kafka messaging, systems integration, and API development and maintenance.
- Familiarity with rules engines such as FICO OMDM, Drools, or Experian PowerCurve.
- Preferred experience with Swagger, JSON Schema, XSD, XML, and RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Ability to create process flows and technical documentation and to provide technical guidance to other developers.
