Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support a large-scale search platform serving AWS customers.
- Write robust, efficient, maintainable software using Java, Python, and C/C++.
- Work on OpenSearch and Apache Lucene, including opportunities to contribute to open source.
- Solve problems involving data storage, query optimization, JVM performance optimization, security, and machine learning.
- Design algorithms and architectures and deliver results for search and log analytics services.
- Help establish the vision and objectives for Search Services based on customer needs and market opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
