Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum team.
- Design, create, and deliver program specifications for code development and support across multiple projects and issues.
- Develop, analyze, modify, debug, unit test, validate, and document complex application code.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, screen mock-ups, flow diagrams, project documentation, and implementation plans.
- Gather and verify non-functional requirements, review architectures and designs, and develop validation strategies.
- Advise leadership on application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, data accuracy, and PCI security compliance.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Advocate for development team priorities, challenge scope creep, negotiate timelines, estimate resources, and assist with training software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least 6 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Required experience with COBOL, IMS, and DB2.
- Experience with two or more enterprise programming languages or technologies, APIs, external services, relational and NoSQL databases, and mainframe technologies.
- Experience with Mainframe, CICS, DB2, IMS, File Manager, Agile Scrum, and related project artifacts.
- Preferred experience includes 6–8+ years of professional experience, IBM Rational Tools, and TS2.
