Responsibilities
- Define and drive architecture across PAM, browser extensions, and other core security platforms.
- Establish scalable technical patterns and standards across frontend, backend, client, and distributed systems.
- Lead architecture reviews and major technical design decisions for complex cross-product initiatives.
- Design secure, reliable, performant, extensible, and maintainable systems and guide APIs, services, authentication, authorization, and data flows.
- Build prototypes and reference implementations, review critical code and designs, and provide hands-on technical guidance.
- Identify and remediate architectural risks, technical debt, and scalability constraints.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and establish standards for observability, reliability, testing, and operational readiness.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for research, prototyping, coding, debugging, and documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant software architecture or technical leadership responsibilities.
- Experience architecting and delivering large-scale production software across multiple product or platform areas.
- Strong full-stack background across frontend, backend, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, and secure SaaS architectures.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native applications, APIs, shared services, and cross-product platforms.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity, access control, secure application architecture, and relational and non-relational database architecture.
- Experience with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, performance profiling, debugging, and reliability engineering.
- Ability to work across multiple engineering teams and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes browser extensions, desktop applications, client-side or endpoint security, native client development, JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, backend languages, browser security, CORS, observability, performance testing, and AI-enabled product initiatives.
