Responsibilities

  • Lead feature delivery, plugin development, catalogue design, and platform API integrations for the internal developer portal.
  • Build and maintain self-service catalogue entries for infrastructure-as-code modules, CI/CD pipelines, shared services, observability dashboards, and SLO definitions.
  • Own the portal’s component model for services, APIs, resources, permissions, systems, and golden paths.
  • Collaborate with cloud platform and product engineering teams to create self-service workflows from service creation through deployment and observability.
  • Set technical standards for code reviews, plugin patterns, frontend testing, accessibility, and portal performance.
  • Mentor DX Engineers and provide architectural and technical decision-making guidance.
  • Gather developer feedback, improve the portal, increase adoption of platform standards, and prioritize features with the Director.

Requirements

  • Software engineering experience developing and deploying high-availability services to production.
  • Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.js, plus understanding of backend service patterns; Java experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience mentoring and leading engineers and setting technical quality standards.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with developer platforms, internal developer portals, or large-scale internal tooling is preferred.
  • Exposure to CI/CD, observability, SRE practices, and golden paths is preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms for developer portals or similar configuration-driven tools is preferred.
