Base Salary
$124k - $329k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve agent review behavior, including context use, memory, and handling of changing pull requests.
- Integrate frontier models while balancing review quality, latency, and cost.
- Build and improve offline and online evaluations for code-review quality.
- Develop the end-to-end review experience across VS Code, the GitHub Copilot app, the GitHub Copilot CLI, and pull requests.
- Reduce false positives and low-value review comments.
- Maintain a high-throughput service at GitHub scale, including participation in an on-call rotation.
- Develop agent-assisted software workflows that improve team productivity.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant software engineering or related technical experience, or qualifying combinations of an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree with experience.
- Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
- Equivalent experience may substitute for the stated education and experience paths.
- Preferred: hands-on experience pushing coding agents to their limits.
- Preferred: experience improving nondeterministic, model-driven systems and measuring aggregate gains.
- Preferred: fundamentals in Go, Ruby, TypeScript, or Python plus distributed-systems and operational experience.
- Preferred: experience building an LLM-backed or agentic production product or its evaluations.
