Base Salary
$182k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade data systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI integrations.
- Guide strategic customers through the end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
- Own architecture and design decisions to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Embed with customer teams, collaborate with stakeholders from technical individual contributors through executives, and provide training and implementation support.
- Coordinate with Databricks engineering, product, project management, architecture, support, and customer teams to deliver engagements and resolve issues.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices while providing feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript and work with modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, AI APIs, and production deployment practices.
- Experience with technical project delivery, including scope, timelines, measurable outcomes, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups, along with strong documentation and whiteboarding skills.
- U.S. government Top Secret clearance is required for classified-information access; candidates with active Secret or higher clearance are encouraged to apply.
- Databricks Certification is required.
- Willingness to travel to customers approximately 20% of the time.
