Base Salary
$158k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable data pipelines, transformations, data models, semantic models, and serving layers.
- Implement orchestration, validation, reconciliation, data quality controls, lineage, and data contracts.
- Develop secure backend services, APIs, and analytical applications using Python, SQL, Streamlit, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or comparable technologies.
- Apply version control, code review, automated testing, documentation, and continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Containerize and deploy applications while addressing configuration, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and security requirements.
- Design and optimize secure, reliable, scalable, performant, supportable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, health checks, recovery processes, release controls, and operational documentation.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives through production operation, partner with cross-functional teams, establish engineering standards, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- Five or more years of related experience.
- Advanced experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Experience with API development patterns such as REST or GraphQL, container technologies such as Docker, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is desired; equivalent professional experience is considered.
- Certification is required in some areas.
- Preferred experience includes Streamlit, React, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, orchestration tools, infrastructure as code, and data observability.
