Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, integration, and testing for flight computer software used in space missions.
- Integrate complex GNC algorithms with flight software.
- Own and maintain the Command Telemetry Database definition for ground and on-orbit testing and missions.
- Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to the ground C2 software team.
- Lead spacecraft command scripting and sequencing efforts.
- Design and implement satellite subsystem model simulators in HITL/SITL environments.
- Develop and maintain reusable device drivers, hardware interfaces, and communications protocol libraries.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to flight software architecture and technical trade studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience with low-level firmware architecture, design, and development.
- Experience with low-level device drivers and safety-critical systems.
- Experience with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS.
- Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422, RS485, UDP, and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 4–7 years developing or producing flight software for space applications, embedded Linux, version control and continuous integration/continuous delivery concepts, embedded systems tools, microcontrollers, application processors, debugging instrumentation, robotics, automation, motor control, sensor fusion, and mentoring or leading small technical teams.
- Must satisfy U.S. space technology export requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible authorization recipient.
