Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver next-generation distributed storage systems optimized for AI and ML training and inference workloads.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, development, testing, and deployment at hyperscale.
- Drive innovation in scalability, performance, security, and efficiency for zettabyte-scale storage.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, cloud infrastructure engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and guide engineers while fostering technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to anticipate the future of AI-native storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C++, C#, Java, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Interest in distributed systems, large-scale storage, and complex systems problems.
- Experience with storage system internals, availability, remote replication, durability schemes, high-performance I/O, database internals, indexing, search, caching, data placement, metadata, and namespace management at scale.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is $165,600–$296,400 per year, with a $220,800–$331,200 per year range for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
