Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a production Android application used by consumers.
- Build and evolve platform-level architecture to support the application at scale.
- Solve engineering problems while balancing quality and delivery speed.
- Contribute to product design and direction decisions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Mentor and technically guide junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including at least 2 years shipping production Android applications professionally.
- Strong Kotlin expertise and demonstrated experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Proficiency with protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
- Experience integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
- Android testing experience across unit, instrumentation, and UI tests, plus experience maintaining mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, ideally supported by a university background in a technical discipline.
