Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions for the Germany cards team aligned with business goals.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solution designs.
- Manage implementation jointly with vendors and support testing, production handover, and L2 support transition.
- Ensure solution designs align with the technical platform modernization strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert for L3 production support.
- Analyze incidents and business requests and drive problem resolution.
- Design, develop, consume, and integrate APIs, microservices, and internal and external web services.
- Participate in engineering planning, quality reviews, reuse initiatives, and adoption of innovative technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java solution design and software development.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, including design patterns and anti-patterns.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, SOAP, XML, REST, and JSON.
- Experience developing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform and using Spring Cloud.
- Experience configuring and deploying applications with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with Git, TeamCity, Maven, and Sonar.
- Knowledge of Agile techniques including User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum environments, and cards.
- Bachelor’s degree focused on IT or data evaluation, or comparable professional experience.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
- Good communication and English language skills and a proactive team-oriented approach.
