Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex backend data pipelines processing millions of messages per second and terabytes of data.
- Develop complex data transformations and microservice-based backend systems.
- Implement GraphQL and REST APIs with Swagger.
- Work with Kafka, Spark, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Perform refactoring and test automation while maintaining high-quality, continuously improving systems.
- Collaborate closely with a small team on complex and abstract technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience.
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent; an MSc is preferred.
- Excellent Java skills and deep working knowledge of Kafka and Spark.
- Excellent knowledge of microservice architecture, SQL, and NoSQL databases such as ClickHouse.
- Understanding of observability tools such as New Relic and Datadog.
- Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and Swagger.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut is a plus.
- Strong refactoring and test automation abilities.
- Fluent spoken and written English, with strong communication, teamwork, learning, and continuous-improvement skills.
