Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own daily releases, weekly deployments, hotfix coordination, and the end-to-end release process.
- Manage GitHub branching strategies, pull request flows, merge policies, GitHub Actions, and engineering collaboration standards.
- Build and maintain resilient AWS infrastructure and configure observability, logs, metrics, traces, and alarms.
- Act as a first responder for incidents, triaging, escalating, or resolving issues based on impact.
- Write scripts, services, internal tools, and automations that improve deployment confidence and reduce friction.
- Contribute software code to internal tools, reliability improvements, and deployment support.
- Use, audit, adapt, and integrate AI-assisted code into production workflows.
- Provide off-hours support to unblock offshore teams and maintain deployment velocity across time zones.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles with production ownership.
- Previous software development experience and continued ability and interest in writing code.
- Fluency in or familiarity with Bash, Python, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong AWS experience, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
- Strong experience with GitHub workflows, GitHub Actions, and release automation.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to generate code and auditing that code to production standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and ownership of the full deployment lifecycle.
- Comfort with on-call responsibilities and designing systems for speed and safety.
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
