Base Salary
$107k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve platform performance and resource utilization.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct capacity planning, and optimize infrastructure performance with junior and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Lead complex technical support, troubleshooting, system tuning, and issue resolution using IT Service Management practices.
- Plan platform backups and lead disaster recovery design, implementation, and testing.
- Analyze performance and utilization data, prepare infrastructure performance reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Design, configure, build, and deploy highly available and scalable infrastructure platforms in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain platform standards, correct configuration deviations, and support compliance with approved designs.
- Lead infrastructure automation, infrastructure CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering, DevSecOps, SDLC processes, and self-service platform enablement.
- Provide technical leadership in software-defined networking, network as code, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust Network Architecture.
- Create and maintain troubleshooting guides, configuration documentation, best practices, and a comprehensive platform knowledge base.
- Organize training, mentor junior engineers, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant platform engineering experience.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in networking, compute, storage, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, Identity and Access Management, and/or platform development.
- Preferred: experience in Operational Technology and a solid understanding of the PERA model.
- Preferred: experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, NetBrain, NetBox, Itential, Jenkins, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, computer networking, cybersecurity risk management, DevSecOps, general programming, infrastructure as code, IT infrastructure management, performance monitoring, policy management, process automation, service delivery management, system administration, system platforms, system testing, systems integration, and troubleshooting.
