Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of integration and system integrator platforms in alignment with business objectives and technical strategy.
- Define and promote architectural patterns, best practices, and standards across the engineering organization.
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and modular solutions with development teams.
- Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools for platform needs.
- Oversee integrations with internal and third-party systems while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify and address bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and potential system failures.
- Maintain architecture, process, and best-practice documentation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends for potential platform impact.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams on architectural principles and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in software development and architecture focused on platforms or large-scale systems.
- Experience building event-driven applications at scale and working with large-scale messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Experience using MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience building platform components with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, data storage, and integration methodologies.
- Experience in SaaS platform architecture or development.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements for enterprise software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, plus experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience using AI tools including Augment, Cursor, and Claude Code.
