Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with product managers and architects to deliver cloud-based solutions, define service boundaries, and create integration patterns and reusable frameworks.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration, and AWS services to build and operate software systems.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and establish coding standards and design patterns across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience.
- Preferred: experience with synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, applying observability to optimize distributed-system performance, and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred: experience leading large-scale technical initiatives and enforcing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
