Base Salary

$140k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable wireless software libraries with stable APIs for multiple products and platforms.
  • Integrate embedded software with wireless chipsets using I²C, SPI, UART, USB, and GPIO interfaces.
  • Collaborate across hardware, firmware, operating system, application, product, program management, and quality teams.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, system-level debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Analyze and optimize memory footprint, CPU usage, power consumption, latency, and other constrained-system resources.
  • Investigate field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable technical solutions.
  • Influence modular, scalable, backward-compatible system architecture across product generations.
  • Mentor engineers through design and code reviews and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience focused on embedded systems, wireless technologies, or systems software.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ and embedded or systems software development.
  • Experience integrating wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, or similar connectivity solutions.
  • Strong understanding of I²C, SPI, UART, USB, and GPIO interfaces.
  • Experience designing modular software architectures and reusable libraries with stable API boundaries.
  • Understanding of embedded system design, memory estimation, resource allocation, power management, and performance optimization.
  • Experience debugging hardware/software interactions with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, or embedded logging tools.
  • Preferred experience with Wi-Fi, Ellisys, Frontline, wireless coexistence, embedded hardware bring-up, silicon vendors, RTOS, Linux, Android, Windows, performance profiling, memory optimization, low-power design, mentoring, and technical architecture leadership.
