Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical authority for solution architecture across data quality, remediation, automation, and AI-enabled efforts.
- Design and govern scalable architectures integrating data pipelines, remediation logic, automation workflows, AI/ML models, dashboards, and validation tools.
- Develop architectural standards, reference designs, system mappings, interface specifications, and implementation guidance.
- Lead design reviews, assess dependencies and downstream impacts, and ensure solutions meet DHS privacy, security, and records management requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, AI strategists, quality teams, and law enforcement subject-matter experts.
- Provide technical leadership during backlog refinement and recommend workflow, system, architectural, and toolset improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, data architecture, or enterprise integration in complex technical environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, microservices, REST APIs, and security-focused architectures.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, Databricks, UiPath, Spark, Git, and related data and development toolsets.
- Experience supporting data-centric operational systems, preferably in law enforcement or other mission-critical government environments.
- Demonstrated ability to document architectures, manage dependencies, design workflows, lead cross-functional technical workstreams, and brief technical and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with DHS, ICE, or similar environments is highly preferred.
