Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end architectures for AI-enabled enterprise applications spanning data ingestion, retrieval, model orchestration, inference, APIs, user experience, and production operations.
  • Architect RAG, semantic and hybrid search, knowledge graph, multimodal, multi-agent, and agentic AI solutions aligned to business workflows.
  • Design Java/J2EE, Spring, REST API, microservices, distributed, event-driven, containerized, and API-managed architectures.
  • Integrate LLM-powered services, copilots, and AI agents into existing Java applications through governed APIs and event-driven patterns.
  • Deploy AI solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP and establish CI/CD, DevSecOps, MLOps, and LLMOps practices.
  • Define AI quality, evaluation, observability, monitoring, tracing, rollback, and production-support frameworks.
  • Embed privacy, data governance, access control, content safety, model security, auditability, Responsible AI, and FinOps controls.
  • Lead client discovery workshops, architecture assessments, design sessions, solution roadmaps, proposals, estimations, and implementation planning.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional architects, Java engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, and platform specialists.
  • Create reusable accelerators, reference implementations, knowledge assets, and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • BE/BTech/MCA or an equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in software architecture, engineering, and enterprise solution delivery.
  • 8+ years designing and delivering enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications with strong Spring ecosystem experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with microservices, distributed systems, API-led architecture, and event-driven architecture.
  • 2+ years of hands-on architecture and implementation experience in AI/ML/GenAI initiatives with production or enterprise-scale delivery.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and owning architecture and delivery outcomes.
  • Strong client engagement, workshop facilitation, presales, storytelling, and senior stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience with Java 8/11/17+, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and service observability.
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, semantic search, AI agents, multi-agent orchestration, and context engineering.
  • Hands-on exposure to AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Haystack.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL, vector databases, knowledge graphs, and at least one of Azure OpenAI/Azure AI, AWS Bedrock/SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI.
  • Preferred experience with Python, FastAPI or Flask, fine-tuning, model optimization, quantization, open-source and multimodal models, GraphRAG, Camunda, Airflow, Prefect, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with regulated industries, enterprise privacy and compliance, relevant cloud/architecture/Java/AI certifications, or contributions to accelerators, open-source projects, or technical communities.
