Responsibilities
- Design and implement healthcare system integrations using HL7, FHIR, and custom APIs.
- Analyze integration requirements in collaboration with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
- Design secure, scalable, and healthcare-compliant system architectures.
- Develop APIs to improve interoperability between healthcare software applications.
- Monitor integrated systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform updates and maintenance.
- Ensure solutions comply with healthcare standards and privacy requirements such as HIPAA.
- Create technical and end-user documentation for integration processes and systems.
- Communicate with stakeholders, provide project updates, and gather feedback.
- Manage project timelines and resources to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Stay current with healthcare technology, integration standards, and relevant programming languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of software development experience focused on healthcare systems integration.
- Experience with Microsoft technology platforms, including Azure and .NET.
- Experience with healthcare integration platforms such as Mirth or Iguana.
- Experience with HL7 and FHIR integration standards.
- Experience developing and using APIs.
- Fluency in English; French is a plus, with the company noting that bilingual French and English communication is required.
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, project management, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
