Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal software tools, services, frameworks, custom CLI tools, development-environment enhancements, and test-automation frameworks.
- Gather requirements and feedback from engineering teams and iterate on developer-tool solutions.
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipeline code and infrastructure for efficient, reliable, and scalable builds and deployments.
- Contribute to developer-platform architecture by evaluating technologies and integrating open-source solutions.
- Mentor and guide software engineers on DevX tools and software-delivery best practices.
- Document and maintain DevX solutions, participate in code reviews and design discussions, and uphold code quality, security, and performance standards.
- Partner with engineering teams to define and enforce AI standards for consistent, scalable, and secure adoption of AI-driven solutions.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, focused on developer tooling or platforms.
- Expert programming ability in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, or C#.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and build/release processes using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of version control, code reviews, automated testing, and software-development best practices.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP for development and testing environments.
- Strong problem-solving, learning, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical-project leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include contributions to open-source developer tools, involvement in the developer community, and experience with developer-experience platforms such as Backstage or the Atlassian suite.
