Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build stable, performant software for DynamoDB’s storage backend.
- Solve difficult distributed-systems problems using appropriate technologies and pragmatic design approaches.
- Rethink and rearchitect legacy systems to improve scalability, latency, availability, throughput, and flexibility.
- Write understandable, maintainable code while minimizing incidental complexity and unnecessary dependencies.
- Optimize resource usage across system hardware, databases, memory, and CPU.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, peers, and senior engineers on project ideas and system improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
