Base Salary
$119k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Rust services for vehicle infotainment systems and supporting frameworks.
- Develop reusable software modules and UI components using SOLID design principles.
- Design, document, and maintain software architecture and API usage documentation.
- Create proofs of concept for next-generation infotainment systems.
- Profile, analyze, and improve application code and embedded software performance.
- Participate in system design, documentation, testing, and cross-functional software integration.
- Collaborate with software developers, test engineers, technical product managers, and leads in an agile team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Rust.
- At least 1 year of experience designing clear, scalable, flexible, versioned APIs with robust error handling.
- Preferred: master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience with C++17.
- Preferred: proficiency with Python and Bash.
- Preferred: experience profiling and improving embedded software performance.
- Preferred: proficiency working in Linux and macOS environments.
- Preferred: experience with Git, pair programming, and agile development methodologies.
