Responsibilities
- Develop software that improves productivity across HRT offices and departments using modern software engineering and AI tooling techniques.
- Write custom MCP wrappers around internal resources.
- Fine-tune code completion models and deploy coding assistants across developer and researcher environments.
- Develop evaluations and iterate on autonomous coding agents.
- Collaborate with security teams to improve AI sandboxing.
- Present and educate users on AI tooling best practices.
- Adapt rapidly evolving AI tools to HRT’s internal systems and workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Python experience is required, with daily use of current standards preferred.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications through the design and production phases.
- Experience with the AI tooling ecosystem, including coding assistants, agentic workflows, or custom tooling.
- Strong design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of UNIX operating systems, including Linux, system and processor performance, and network communication.
- C++ and JavaScript experience, including TypeScript and React, is a plus.
- Ability to define direction in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
