Base Salary
$193k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, highly available backend services, APIs, and data integrations for customer-facing products.
- Lead technical delivery across architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver performant, reliable platform capabilities.
- Develop abstractions and platform APIs that simplify complex LIS workflows while maintaining long-term stability.
- Build and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure covering compute, networking, container orchestration, storage, and environment automation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automated environment provisioning.
- Embed monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and reliability practices into the platform.
- Maintain the scalability, maintainability, and health of backend and cloud systems for enterprise and global workloads.
- Promote technical ownership, excellence, learning, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Apply AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve productivity, code quality, routine task automation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional software development experience delivering complex projects using software engineering best practices.
- Deep experience with web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
- Strong system design and architecture capabilities, including applying domain-driven design to complex business domains and service/data boundaries.
- Familiarity with modern AI-driven development practices and tools.
- Strong foundation in cloud services, preferably AWS, including ECS, S3, AWS Batch, EC2, and AWS Lambda.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to work in person with the team in Menlo Park.
