Base Salary
$141k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the technical strategy for automation frameworks, test architecture, and CI systems supporting PlayStation SDK components
- Define scalable and maintainable automation and infrastructure patterns for long-term platform growth
- Contribute to test-system architecture spanning C++, embedded firmware in C, and Python-based infrastructure
- Identify technical risks and drive mitigation strategies
- Develop and improve automated test cases, sample applications, testing tools, and frameworks for SDK libraries and low-level software
- Build and improve test infrastructure using Python and Groovy for PlayStation sample applications
- Monitor test infrastructure, analyze automation failures, improve reliability, and optimize runtime performance
- Partner with software production and offshore teams on test plans, validation strategies, and documentation
Requirements
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and C++
- Experience building, running, and debugging software in Windows and Linux environments
- Deep understanding of automation trade-offs and architectural design decisions
- Ability to provide technical leadership, influence stakeholders, and present technical direction to engineers and executives
- Proven experience leading architectural decisions and complex debugging efforts
- Exposure to the Android platform, including its SDK, tooling, and architecture, is preferred
- Prior PlayStation SDK development experience is helpful
- Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game engine technology is preferred
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
