Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed indexing infrastructure for DynamoDB.
- Develop near-real-time replication pipelines from base tables to secondary indexes.
- Build index creation, backfill, compaction, rebalancing, and recovery mechanisms across partitioned datasets.
- Optimize secondary-index storage, query performance, cost efficiency, consistency, freshness, and availability.
- Integrate indexing infrastructure with DynamoDB partitioning, replication, admission control, and query-processing systems.
- Shape indexing architecture from foundational design through customer launch and production operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering-team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
