Responsibilities
- Accelerate secure cloud adoption for DWS application teams and improve developer experience across the DWS Cloud Enclave.
- Support cloud application onboarding, migration readiness, environment setup, productionisation, and platform consumption.
- Build reusable cloud patterns, Terraform modules, GitHub workflows, templates, and self-service infrastructure assets.
- Provide hands-on support across GCP, automation, IAM, networking, observability, deployment workflows, and platform integration.
- Embed SDLC, security, risk, and governance requirements into engineering and DevOps delivery patterns.
- Create knowledge-base content, onboarding guides, FAQs, and examples for distributed application teams.
- Collaborate with platform, security, architecture, SDLC, and application teams to standardize cloud adoption and improve platform capabilities.
- Contribute to Cloud Champions, vertical capability uplift, self-service automation, and AI-enabled engineering productivity initiatives.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, SRE, or application enablement roles.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience, preferably with Terraform, including reusable modules, code reviews, remote state, and environment-based configuration.
- Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, preferably GCP, and its compute, container, storage, IAM, networking, database, monitoring, and deployment services.
- Experience with GitHub or similar source-control platforms, including pull requests, branching, code reviews, repository structure, and CI/CD workflow integration.
- Strong cloud and DevOps fundamentals covering automation, deployment pipelines, access control, environment management, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
- Ability to work directly with application teams to understand requirements, resolve blockers, guide onboarding, and support cloud or platform adoption.
- Good communication and documentation skills for explaining technical topics to distributed teams across India, Germany, and the UK.
- Basic scripting or programming ability in Python, Java, .NET, Go, or shell scripting.
- Exposure to reusable engineering assets, enterprise SDLC, security and governance practices, developer experience or internal platform enablement, observability, operational readiness, and AI-assisted engineering tools is desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or an IT-related discipline, or equivalent, is required; relevant cloud, DevOps, or platform-engineering certification is desirable.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
