Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and grow engineering talent within the team.
- Define and implement engineering roadmaps aligned with business needs and product roadmaps.
- Develop and implement ServiceNow IRM capabilities, including configurations, workflows, scripting, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB functionality.
- Establish coding standards, architecture principles, engineering processes, and technology excellence practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, engineers, and program delivery teams to achieve business objectives.
- Evaluate tooling and third-party technologies, identify capability or security gaps, and provide recommendations for roadmap and architectural direction.
- Provide technical input to product owners and recommend changes to implementation timelines and program objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer I in Governance, Risk and Compliance tools.
- At least 12 years of overall software development experience.
- Strong system architecture and engineering standards experience.
- Hands-on ServiceNow experience with configurations, workflows, scripting, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB.
- Experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, XML, Java, Jelly scripting, and AngularJS.
- At least 5 years of Agile experience and hands-on Scaled Agile Framework experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting complex technology solutions to technical teams and senior leaders.
- Understanding of GRC and IRM industry trends.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technology subject area.
- Active Certified System Administrator certification.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP knowledge, systems analysis or programming experience, experience writing or initiating JavaScript utilities, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer credentials, conceptual architecture knowledge, and Machine Learning or Generative AI knowledge using NowAssist.
