Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, debug, and document complex information systems, programs, subroutines, and scripts.
- Design and deliver enterprise API integration solutions in partnership with application teams.
- Support production environments through incident response, release management, deployments, and performance-event resolution.
- Optimize application capacity, operating time, response time, interoperability, security, and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in API performance, governance, reliability, scalability, stability, and platform health.
- Serve as a project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts and manage phases of larger efforts.
- Maintain the software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks required for assigned work.
- Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts and programmers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer sciences-related field or equivalent work experience; the stated equivalent is four years of professional corporate work experience.
- At least three years of systems and programming experience.
- At least one year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
- At least one year of expert working knowledge of a programming language used at BCBST.
- Hands-on experience with APIs and IBM App Connect Enterprise, with experience in IBM API Connect strongly preferred.
- Experience designing and documenting integration solutions and ensuring interoperability, security, and performance.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to integration and application development.
- Proven API design, development, and management experience.
- Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, with demonstrated success leading large and complex projects.
- Ability to translate technical or complex concepts into information meaningful to technical and business stakeholders.
- Effective communication, organization, reliability, multitasking, and leadership skills.
