Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot.
- Design and build RESTful APIs integrating with databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.
- Deploy, monitor, and support containerized applications on OpenShift and cloud environments.
- Modernize legacy applications into reusable and scalable service architectures.
- Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests using established testing frameworks.
- Review code, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and production readiness activities.
- Apply secure coding practices and enterprise compliance standards.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders on technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile planning, estimation, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience developing Java-based enterprise applications and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and service integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Red Hat OpenShift or AWS cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing frameworks.
- Experience with SQL and relational database technologies.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenShift ecosystem tooling.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS services including EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Preferred experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, OpenAPI, Swagger, API lifecycle management, and observability practices.
- Financial services or retirement products technology experience is preferred.
