Responsibilities
- Own and improve components of the metrics pipeline, ingestion, storage, and query execution.
- Contribute to the design of next-generation metrics systems.
- Design and run experiments to validate architectural changes.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported performance issues.
- Collaborate with the Metrics team on cross-cutting concerns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building backend distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing data pipelines and query engines.
- Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems architecture.
- Ability to rapidly onboard to complex systems and drive improvements.
- Customer-focused mindset to connect engineering decisions to user pain.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.
