Responsibilities
- Develop the quantum compilation tool suite through theoretical studies and software implementation.
- Improve the resource estimator by integrating new quantum-computing architectural improvements and making it usable by external users.
- File patents, publish scientific results, and present work at conferences.
- Mentor junior team members, interns, and PhD students.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum compilation, quantum error correction, fault-tolerant quantum algorithms, and classical language and compilation theory.
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Quantum Information Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one compiled language, such as C++ or Rust.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Professional-level written and spoken English.
- Preferred: expertise in graph theory or branch-and-bound/constraint-propagation algorithms.
- Preferred: understanding of classical compiler backends such as LLVM or GCC, or high-performance or specialized computing compilers.
- Preferred: knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems.
