Base Salary
$132k - $273k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate full-stack applications and services on Pinterest’s enterprise infrastructure for Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Lead technical design and implementation of GenAI/ML-powered services and pipelines that automate and augment enterprise workflows.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with product managers, business systems analysts, and engineers to translate business needs into technical plans, metrics, and deliverables.
- Use AI coding tools and agents to accelerate development while applying rigorous testing, code review, and observability.
- Mentor and coach engineers on system design, GenAI/ML patterns, and AI-augmented workflows.
- Contribute to technical decisions and improve engineering practices across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience building systems or analytics for Sales and/or Marketing teams, such as CRM, campaign management, sales productivity, measurement, or revenue operations tools.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems, including full-stack applications and/or backend services on a modern cloud platform such as AWS or similar.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one of Java, Node.js, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems and fault-tolerant integrations, including REST/gRPC services, event-driven architectures, or data pipelines.
- Production experience building or integrating GenAI/ML-powered features or services, including LLM workflows, ML recommendations, or intelligent automation.
- Experience with evaluation, observability, validation, and common failure modes for GenAI/ML systems.
- Experience using AI tools and agents to write, review, and validate technical design documents, specifications, and test plans in a spec-driven development workflow.
- Experience with GenAI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code and the ability to validate AI-assisted output for quality, security, and maintainability.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to explain GenAI/ML tradeoffs to non-technical partners.
- Salesforce engineering experience, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Salesforce integrations, is a plus.
