Base Salary
$180k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train, tune, and test automatic target recognition and track management systems using neural networks.
- Develop multi-sensor fusion, state estimation, Kalman filter, particle filter, and multi-target tracking algorithms for resource-constrained vehicles.
- Design distributed fusion methods that combine tracks across a drone swarm.
- Characterize algorithm performance using real-world flight data and simulation.
- Optimize models and estimators for real-time inference on edge compute.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Travel up to 25% for onsite testing and integration events.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field, or equivalent depth of applied experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in estimation theory and multi-target tracking, including Kalman or particle filters, JPDA, MHT, random finite sets, or similar methods.
- Hands-on deep learning experience training, evaluating, and deploying neural networks for detection or classification.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, Go, and/or Python.
- Experience taking algorithms from research through deployment on a real system.
- Preferred: publications or deployed work in automatic target recognition, multi-sensor fusion, or distributed estimation.
- Preferred: experience with EO/IR, radar, or RF sensor processing on aerial platforms.
- Preferred: experience deploying ML models to embedded or edge hardware using TensorRT, ONNX, or quantization.
- Preferred: familiarity with defense sensing and tracking domains.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.
