Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements and dependencies with stakeholders and lead design documentation for products, applications, services, and platforms.
- Design and deliver software that automates AKS cluster provisioning, upgrades, and management on Azure Local.
- Own features from design through production and drive architectural decisions for distributed cloud infrastructure.
- Lead by example, produce maintainable code, and mentor engineers across products and solutions.
- Coordinate cross-product project plans, release plans, and work items with stakeholders.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call operations, and monitor systems for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while standardizing monitoring and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of technical engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable on-premises cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with site-reliability engineering practices and secure development practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes Cluster API (CAPI) and providers.
- Experience with Azure core services, networking, storage, compute and virtualization, platform monitoring, logging and alerting, or delivery pipelines.
