Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Cypress.
- Build and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured and Postman, including scripting and collection automation.
- Perform unit, integration, API, smoke, system, and performance testing, along with SQL-based testing, data validation, and data pipeline quality checks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous, in-sprint test automation.
- Manage test data, test planning, and test execution across complex data and cloud environments.
- Own QA deliverables from project inception and design review through validation and release.
- Lead and mentor offshore QA engineers and provide clear, structured project and quality updates to management.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product owners in an agile delivery team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Bachelor-level education in BSC, MSC, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or BCA.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Cypress, and Java.
- Experience with Rest Assured, Postman, SQL queries, relational databases, Oracle, SQL Server, data warehouses, and ETL tools.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS ecosystems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience in test automation and hands-on manual QA.
- Knowledge of data warehouse architectures and full project-lifecycle QA delivery.
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot and Claude for AI-assisted testing is preferred.
- Experience working in agile delivery teams and the ability to lead and mentor QA engineers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, documentation, presentation, and management-reporting skills.
