Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and performant software solutions.
- Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot and develop frontend functionality with React and JavaScript.
- Design and implement RESTful services and integrate relational databases including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Set up and configure cloud infrastructure and AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EC2, MSK, and RDS.
- Apply unit, mutation, component, and frontend testing practices to ensure software reliability.
- Use logging, metrics, and observability tools to debug and monitor applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on requirements, solution strategies, code reviews, and integration.
- Follow secure coding, risk management, governance, and control practices.
- Contribute to technical communities, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of location strategy projects.
Requirements
- Experience with Java 17 or 21 and Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, and backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Pi Test or Stryker, Karate or WireMock, and React Testing Library.
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle relational databases, with Oracle preferred for AWS RDS work.
- Experience with observability tools such as Elastic and Kibana for logging, metrics, and debugging.
- Experience setting up cloud infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Elastic Load Balancing, EC2, MSK, and RDS.
- Experience with cloud technologies, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab or Bitbucket, and Jenkins pipelines.
- Understanding of DevOps, continuous integration, and GitLab-based delivery practices.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Relevant technology or platform certifications are valued.
- Ability to apply technical expertise, collaborate across functions, communicate complex information, and manage risk and controls.
