Base Salary
$125k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess and improve Later’s security posture across applications and infrastructure.
- Define and implement scalable security standards and best practices.
- Own identity and access management, including authentication and authorization.
- Design and maintain secure authentication systems for internal and customer-facing tools.
- Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Provide security guidance during system design and architecture reviews.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a security focus.
- Proven experience in building and operating production-grade software and systems.
- Strong background in application security and secure CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management.
- Familiarity with security frameworks like OWASP, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Experience with cloud security tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code security scanning.
- Strong communication skills to translate security concepts for various stakeholders.
