Base Salary
$115k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and operate the AWS and Kubernetes platform, including reliability, cost, performance, and production workload management.
- Lead GitOps deployments, synchronization policies, deployment ordering, and configuration management across environments.
- Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including shell and Docker runner management and automated promotion from development through production.
- Diagnose platform failures, lead incident recovery, and document post-mortems.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and log visibility for the analytics platform.
- Maintain security baselines, access controls, secrets management, and compliance-oriented infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on platform engineering experience focused on automation, tooling, and distributed scalable systems.
- 3+ years of AWS and Kubernetes experience, including EKS, production workload management, RBAC, and IRSA.
- Expert-level GitLab CI/CD experience, including shell and Docker runner management and Bash scripting; GitHub Actions is an acceptable alternative.
- Production experience with ArgoCD and GitOps across multiple environments.
- Proficiency with Terraform as the primary infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Fluency with AWS Lambda, ALB, WAF, CloudFront, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Route 53, KMS, ECR, VPC networking, and public-facing application hosting.
- Working knowledge of security baselines and compliance-oriented infrastructure design.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Airflow through MWAA, Claude Code, Okta or SSO integration, Serverless Framework, Databricks Asset Bundles, Grafana, and SOC-2 compliance in a data engineering context.
