Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go with emphasis on performance, security, scalability, and tested code.
- Deliver product features while reducing technical debt and maintaining code quality.
- Design and evolve APIs and data models for reliable platform integration.
- Contribute to the AI-enabled roadmap by integrating LLM- and MCP-based tooling into the product.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science colleagues on code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
Requirements
- Strong backend experience building production services, ideally with Go; experienced backend engineers with transferable skills may develop their Go expertise.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and working with databases, including schema design, queries, and performance.
- Working knowledge of LLMs and MCPs and comfort using Python alongside Go.
- A pragmatic approach to balancing feature delivery, technical-debt reduction, and code quality.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Frontend experience is preferred but not required.
