Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java backend modules, microservices, web interfaces, and customer self-service capabilities.
- Write clean, testable, efficient code compatible across browsers and platforms.
- Build and integrate client-side and server-side components using web technologies, GraphQL, SOAP, and REST web services.
- Manage source-code configuration in SVN, including branching, builds, and merges.
- Estimate effort, coordinate delivery timelines and risks, and support issue resolution with project managers.
- Collaborate with architects, technical leads, clients, onshore/offshore development teams, and testing teams.
- Triage defects, assign issues, track resolutions, and troubleshoot across development and production environments.
- Create and maintain instructional materials, proposals, technical specifications, and other project documentation.
- Explain technical solutions and influence decisions with clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience with Core Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing and maintaining microservices-based applications and working with GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with AJAX and the JBOSS application server.
- Proficiency developing SOAP and REST web services.
- Experience with Mockito, SVN, Ant, and Maven.
- Experience integrating client-side and server-side components to build dynamic web pages.
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle, user-interface testing, and integration testing.
- Experience delivering projects using waterfall and agile methodologies, including Agile/Kanban environments.
- Knowledge of Java class-loading mechanisms and awareness of emerging web technologies and industry trends.
- Experience working in distributed onshore/offshore development and testing models.
- Strong communication and project documentation skills.
