Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and develop design documents for products, applications, services, and platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Drive project plans, release plans, work items, and cross-functional workgroups in partnership with stakeholders such as project managers.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide other engineers, participate in on-call operations, monitor systems, communicate service status, and help restore degraded or interrupted services.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring consistency, and operations at scale.
- Identify attack vectors and security risks, perform threat modeling, and engineer scalable detections and end-to-end solutions to detect, mitigate, and prevent threats across infrastructure and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with C++, C#, big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and search technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services, Azure, Entra, and O365.
- Security awareness, including penetration testing, threat analysis, threat identification, threat modeling, and security detection engineering.
- Strong analytical, customer engagement, collaboration, communication, relationship-building, and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include prior Software Developer Engineer experience, work with geographically dispersed and diverse engineering teams, and understanding of cloud, AI, and emerging Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with senior technical and business leaders.
