Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end quality engineering activities and define test strategies for complex enterprise applications.
- Design scalable, maintainable Java automation frameworks and reusable libraries.
- Develop automated API regression suites covering functional, contract, and performance validations.
- Create and maintain Selenium UI automation for critical user journeys, business workflows, and cross-browser coverage.
- Build Playwright test suites for modern web interfaces and complex user flows.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and developers to improve acceptance criteria, testability, and quality risk management.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive defect prevention and code quality improvements.
- Establish and monitor defect leakage, test coverage, and automation effectiveness metrics.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline workflows.
- Mentor team members on automation best practices, coding standards, and quality engineering techniques.
- Coordinate system integration and user acceptance testing, including negative flows and boundary conditions.
- Document test strategies, automation decisions, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Translate finance and accounting domain controls, reconciliation flows, and compliance needs into test coverage.
Requirements
- Nine to twelve years of professional quality engineering experience focused on test automation for complex enterprise-scale applications.
- Advanced Java programming proficiency, including object-oriented design, reusable libraries, and clean coding practices for automation frameworks.
- Hands-on API testing experience covering functional, contract, and performance validation, test data, and end-to-end data flows.
- Proven Selenium automation experience with page object models, cross-browser validation, and continuous integration pipeline integration.
- Practical Playwright experience with asynchronous behavior, rich user interfaces, and complex user flows.
- Strong understanding of risk-based testing, regression strategy, test data management, and shift-left approaches.
- Working knowledge or project exposure in finance and accounting domains, including quality controls, reconciliation flows, and regulatory considerations.
- Clear communication skills for articulating quality risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer certification or equivalent automation-focused certification is preferred.
