Responsibilities

Set the technical direction for ML systems behind menu personalization.
Partner with Data Scientists to transition research and experiments to production.
Shape the personalization roadmap with Product and Engineering leadership.
Operate and improve systems in production, emphasizing continuous learning.
Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews and mentorship.
Make long-term architectural decisions that influence future projects.
Drive engineering excellence across the organization by setting standards.
Collaborate with peers on best practices and contribute to company-wide initiatives.

8+ years of experience building and operating production ML systems.
Proven track record of technical leadership at scale.
Experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization is a plus.
Fluency in Python, Spark, Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
Statistical literacy for designing experiments and evaluating model performance.
Operational judgment for diagnosing system issues and debugging under load.
Hands-on experience with AI tooling and practical application of AI agents.
Strong product sense with the ability to translate ideas into business value.
A bias to ship and take ownership of projects.
