Senior / Principal Go Developer (Cybersecurity Platform)

Responsibilities
- Own and navigate a large backend ecosystem of multiple services with minimal ramp-up support.
- Develop and maintain scalable Golang backend services.
- Analyze legacy and unreviewed code to identify technical debt, systemic issues, and architectural risks.
- Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, then propose and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define objectives and execute roadmap initiatives.
- Advocate for architectural improvements and negotiate technical decisions with peer engineering teams.
- Contribute to long-term platform evolution while balancing short-term business priorities.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Golang.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from planning and objective-setting through delivery and support.
- Proven experience with high-load, high-traffic production systems.
- Strong understanding of scalable and maintainable backend architecture principles.
- Ability to work independently with large and unfamiliar codebases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to proactively identify issues and align technical solutions with business and customer needs.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate technical direction with engineering stakeholders.
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
- Experience with C++, Objective-C, or Rust is a plus.
- Experience owning a large-scale legacy system is a plus.
- Experience with cybersecurity or infrastructure-focused products is a plus.
- Background in distributed systems and service-oriented architectures is a plus.
