Responsibilities
- Design and lead deployment of secure, scalable AWS infrastructure optimized for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
- Enhance DataDog observability and proactive detection across AWS environments.
- Lead the evolution of Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes-based containerized environments for scalability and consistency.
- Automate cloud operations using Terraform or Ansible to reduce manual work.
- Ensure operations meet HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, security, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical and cultural leadership.
- Translate technical strategies into clear goals for cross-functional teams and leadership.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of experience in SRE or cloud engineering, including management of large-scale AWS environments.
- Extensive experience with AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS, including cost optimization and resource utilization.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, DataDog, and Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Professional expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Proactive ownership mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Preferred: AWS Professional-level certifications; experience with serverless architectures, Kafka, Kinesis, or Redshift; and experience in healthcare technology or high-security environments.
